Quick update: after proving that the owner actually owns the domain, I've made the payment to the escrow service. They are now waiting for the domain owner to make the transfer. They told me it could take a couple of days.

Here's hoping they don't back out. In that case, rest assured that the worst that can happen is that everyone's money is refunded. I have not cashed out my PayPal yet just in case!

Well it looks like my intuition was right. Something went wrong with the escrows website which means I was waiting on the transfer that would never happen. I made the payment, it charged me alright, but it's like their site never cleared it or something.

It's not like I wrote to them 3 fucking times trying to explain to them something was up. Now they finally realized it but of course since the weekend is coming up I'm probably fucked until next week.

Have patience friends! I know this sounds like I am making up excuses to run off with your money, but it's not!

Congratulations and a huge THANK YOU to everyone for your overwhelming support. I could not imagine 15 years ago that we would still be here and that people would be willing to shell out some of their own money for such an endeavour.

Now that this is all done, I will have some time during this month to work on this fabulous archive that I've had in mind for years.
